 Our Founders

Founded by Katherine Lash & Ed Preston, SpiritQuest Retreats provides personalized transformative
experiences in both Sedona, AZ and Maui, HI.  Katherine & Ed are blessed to split their time between
these two beautiful locations, and to work with an amazing community of healers, teachers and guides
who make it all possible.
 


Katherine Lash

An Arizona native who has lived in the Sedona area for over 40 years, Katherine’s Holistic Heath credentials began in Hawaii after she spent several years traveling throughout Asia.  The insights gained from visiting places such as Tibet, India, Thailand, Nepal, and Indonesia have proven invaluable to her own personal growth, her career as a healer, and her role as one of the principle founders of SpiritQuest. 

Katherine is schooled and certified in the modalities of Vibrational Chakra Energy Alignment, Emotional Freedom Technique, Tesla High Frequency Healing, Authentic Movement, Interpersonal Contact Improvisation, Reflexology, and European Facial.  She is also a certified Aura Soma practitioner working with color, light, and plant signatures. Altogether she has been practicing and teaching Holistic Health for over 25 years. Her Bachelor of Science degrees in Education and Philosophy have lead her down a path of providing insight and direction to others. 

 


Ed Preston

A native of North Carolina, Ed has lived in the Southwest for almost 30 years.  After earning degrees in both Marketing and Anthropology, he choose to pursue a career as a naturalist, photographer and wilderness guide instead.  With over 20 years experience, Ed has taken thousands of visitors out on the land to experience the extraordinary beauty of the Southwest. 

A journey on the land with Ed is often equal parts science, Native American culture, self awareness and personal growth.  His gentle spirit and compassionate nature allow him to connect with people from all walks of life. Ed has been interested in breath work, meditation, Jungian psychology, identity and personal growth for many years.  Systems that he finds particularly useful include Emotional Intelligence, Bowen Family Systems, and Myers-Briggs (both Ed & Katherine are INFJ's).  A water-loving Aquarius who embodies the spirit of Aloha, Ed felt right at home when he first visited Hawaii 15 years ago.
